About Giftun Azur Resort

Giftun Azur Resort sits on the seafront in Hurghada, among gardens planted with palm trees. It has a private beach, two outdoor pools, seven restaurants and seven bars. You will also find a spa, a tennis court and a kids' club. The front desk is open around the clock, and pets are allowed at no extra charge.

Location

The resort is on Village Road in Hurghada, 6 km from the town center. Hurghada airport is close by. The resort has no parking, but it offers car rental. Cafés and a bar are 300 m away.

The Giftun Islands are 15 km away as the crow flies, and the Abu Nuhas wrecks 45 km.

Rooms

The Classic bungalow, for adults only, measures 16 m², and the bungalow with a garden view 26 m². The Superior room, at 32 m², has a partial sea view. The Superior Suite offers 40 m² with a sea view.

All rooms have air conditioning, satellite TV and a minibar. The resort has family rooms, and some rooms are wheelchair accessible. An extra bed is free on request for children up to 5 years old, but there are no cribs.

Dining

Breakfast is a buffet, with continental and halal options. Sunny, the main restaurant, serves local and international cuisine, morning and evening. El Dawar restaurant serves Arabic cuisine.

The à la carte restaurants are paid for at the end of the meal. La Piazzetta serves Italian specialties, Pirates of Red Sea serves fish, and El Gaucho offers Brazilian and Mexican cuisine. The Asian Corner has a teppanyaki table.

Leisure

The two pools are open year-round, and one of them is heated. There is a swim-up bar in the pool. Children have a pool, a club and outdoor play areas. The spa and the hot tub cost extra.

The resort also has a tennis court, billiards, darts and table tennis. In the evening, the entertainment team puts on shows. There is a hair salon on site.

Diving is booked on site, at extra cost, and the resort also offers snorkeling. Other water sports are available, such as banana boat rides.

Boats to the Giftun Islands leave between 8 and 9 a.m., from Hurghada marina or from the hotel jetties. The ride takes 45 minutes to an hour and a quarter. You are back around 4 p.m., after two dives and lunch on board.

The Abu Nuhas wrecks are a day trip, when the sea allows. Allow two to two and a half hours of sailing.
